Jordan 12 Flu Game
If your over the age of 25, you've probably at least heard of the "Flu Game". The Chicago Bulls were tied 2-2 with the Utah Jazz in the NBA finals. Michael Jordan was having flu-like symptoms and wouldn't be 100% for the game. Whether you believe he was really that sick or not, there's always a great image of Scottie Pippen all but carrying MJ to the bench after a timeout was called. MJ scored 38 pts and they won that and the next game to win their fifth NBA championship.
Now, why are the shoes he wore that game such a hot commodity? Obviously, everyone goes wild for any retro Jordan release. But these have a special meaning. Michael Jordan is an icon, his shoes themselves have also reached icon status. But unlike a lot of other Jordan releases this pair of shoes has a story behind it. The fact that the red and black color way looks great doesn't hurt either. But these shoes represent a moment in time when we actually thought superman had finally found his krytonite. The shoes were his cape and he showed the world, superman was alive.
They release May 28, 2016 and are a must have are sneakerheads and basketball purest alike. But get them quick, the resell value are only going to continue to skyrocket..
